What a fabulous show last night. A sold-out house — actually, standing room only!! I opened the show with a fantastic arrangement of How to Succeed / I Believe in You from How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.. If you’re curious about the arrangement, you could hear it on the album “Anywhere I Wonder – Liz Callaway Sings Frank Loesser” (the producer of that album, Bruce Kimmel, also produced and directed this show, so he just used that version). I also was asked to sing the gorgeous medley of I’ll Know/Somebody, Somewhere as well as I Wish I Didn’t Love You So — arrangements also all from the album. The show was beautifully received; the other 5 women in the show, as well as John Boswell on piano, were totally in their element last night. We couldn’t have asked for a better evening!
